Even though many associate the beginning of the new year with January 1st, for those more attune to nature, the beginning of the year is actually in the spring. Spring is the time when we plant the seeds for what we would like to see bloom in our lives. It is the time of new beginnings and of using the old to fertilize the new. This year, we are in a “one” year – the first year in a new nine-year cycle. It is truly the time for a new hero’s quest to begin – a chance to step forward and become who we have always dreamed of being.

Meet Nancy and Ryan
Nancy Nicholas is an intuitive life coach and shamanic practitioner who offers spiritual mentoring, empowerment readings, workshops/classes and energy healing to those seeking to live a heart-centered life.
Ryan O’Toole is a shamanic practitioner, Reiki practitioner and intuitive life coach. He is currently training to deepen his connection with nature through expanding his primitive living skills.
I hope you are all having a great start to 2017! This is a “one” year in numerology which means we are at the beginning of a new nine-year cycle. This is prompting lots of shifts and changes, both personally and collectively. With change comes opportunities, but it can also be challenging. The purpose of offering spiritual mentoring programs this year is to provide ongoing nurturing and support as we move to collectively create a new paradigm – one where we let love guide our course instead of our fears.
Spiritual Mentoring with Nancy Nicholas
Mentoring Club– Club members are part of an email list where they will receive weekly intuitive guidance, practical coaching and inspiration to follow their heart. Mentoring materials come in a variety of forms – written, audio recordings and occasionally videos. Members are also invited to participate in a monthly live call for members only. On the call, spiritual teaching, coaching strategies, energy balancing and intuitive guidance will be provided, as well as mini empowerment readings for those interested in getting some specific guidance and mentoring. Calls are recorded and the link shared through the club email list. Club members are also given priority for openings in the other mentoring programs and periodic special offers on private sessions and events. Love Exchange: Free/First Month Trial then $25/three months
Small Group Mentoring – The purpose of the small group experience is to offer more direct mentoring and the opportunity to develop friendships with others on a similar path. The groups are kept small (no more than 4 participants), allowing time for each person to receive specific guidance and support. The group will meet monthly by phone for 60-90 minutes for three months. Basic membership includes one private 20 minute support call during the three-month experience. Participants also have the option of adding monthly private one-on-one mentoring session at a discounted rate as part of the mentoring experience. Small groups can be made up of a group of friends or formed randomly. Love Exchange: $35/month (monthly call only with 20 minute support call during the three-month period); $60/month (adding a 30 minute private mentoring session); $100/month (adding a 60 minute private mentoring session). A three-month commitment is required.
One-on-One Mentoring – This opportunity provides ongoing support when you are ready to make big shifts. Often, when you are going through a big transition or ready to move into a new consciousness, you need a more ongoing level of support. For this type of mentoring, I’m available to support you if something comes up between the scheduled calls. Participants will work with me weekly or bi-weekly and have the option of as needed support throughout the month of mentoring. There are two ways to participate.
Option One: Two private coaching calls per month (60-90 minutes per call) and up to one hour of additional on call support as needed during the month. Love Exchange: $200/month
Option Two: Four coaching calls per month (one 60-90 minute call per week) and an additional 90 minutes of on call support as needed during the month. Love Exchange: $400/month

Individual New Moon Readings
This Tuesday (11/29) is the New Moon in Sagittarius. Instead of doing the usual group reading, I am going to do individual recorded readings this week.
The New Moon is a great time to set new intentions and these readings offer insights, energy balancing, practical coaching tips, and intention setting to help you manifest with ease! The readings are approximately 20 minutes long and will be recorded. You will be sent the link to listen at your convenience. Love Exchange is $25. You can sign up on the New Moon Reading page here: New Moon Readings

I’m in Montana still, but will soon be on my way back East! I’m going to be back in the Akron/Cleveland area at the end of the month through Thanksgiving. While I’m home, I am going to be teaching a new course we (the Spirit Earth Coaching Team) have developed called The Protocol. It is the foundational teaching to learning how to live a joyful, heart-centered life. I’m very excited to share it with all of you! Details are below:
Live Your Joyful Life Course – The Protocol
In the quest to lead a heart-centered life, you are inevitably confronted with fears that trigger fight or flight. These fears encourage you to return to a survival mode of operating in your life, which puts you back into the fear/survival mode of living. To counter that, the Spirit Earth coaching team developed a process we call the Protocol. This process offers a series of concepts, hands on techniques, and spiritual consciousness that returns you to the path of love. Below is an outline of the course:
Week One: Balance Your Body – For this class, you will learn how to listen to your body’s wisdom, restore energetic balance, and understand what you need to come back into a more grounded, peaceful state.
Week Two: Understand Your Mind – For this class, you will learn how to work through your emotions and the thoughts that create them, so you can discover the cause of your fear and move back into love.
Week Three: Follow the Spirit – For this class, you will learn how to discover what the gift of learning is that the fears are offering, align with your truth, so you can manifest what brings you joy.
Week Four: Putting It All Together: For this class, you will have the opportunity to practice using the whole protocol on a topic that you are currently struggling with. Participants will also create a toolkit of the protocol to use on their own.
Ohio Course Details
Where: Medina Massotherapy – Medina, Ohio
When: 10/25, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 6:30 -8:30 PM
Love Exchange: $30 per class (Soul Friends Members – $25 per class)
How to Register: Email Nancy Nicholas – nancy@EmpoweringLightworkers.com. Class space is limited to eight participants.
Sending love and hugs!
The New Moon is a great time to set your intentions for what you wish to create in your life. Here is an excerpt from the Power Path November Forecast on this month’s New Moon:
“November 11: The New Moon is Wednesday November 11, at 10:48 AM MST, Mountain Standard Time. Watch for cranky irritation around any pressure you feel from others, yourself or your environment. Take a moment around this new moon for yourself and focus on something that needs completion. Cranky energy can always be transformed into a fiery inspiration that fuels action. Be physically active today and do something physical that expands your space, clears something out and provides you with an opportunity to take action towards something you desire.”

I just finished my first Spring Series of Intuitive Life Coaching Classes focusing on the Quantum Physics/EFT protocol last week. It was so much fun! I loved seeing what manifested for people and for myself as we worked with the process to shift limiting beliefs. I’m really excited to share the process with a second group, as I feel the more of us who are using this process, the easier it is for us to start experiencing significant change.
The first class of the second spring series is on Financial Abundance on Wednesday May 6th at 7PM EST. Registration Deadline is TUESDAY May 5th. This call will be done on the conference call line and will be recorded if you aren’t able to join in live. I have TWO spots left if you’d like to join in. I am only having six participants because I do personalized readings for each person to help them connect with their limiting beliefs. The sharing is done anonymously (you will be given the number of your message) and the intention is set that all the messages hold gifts for the whole group. You are welcome to participate in one class or several. Each class has a unique focus and each week will have a specific tool from Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail by Greg Kuhn that you can practice between classes.
Full details on the class and the link to register are on this page: Intuitive Life Coaching Classes
Let me know if you have any questions!
Here is a Grace card from Cheryl Richardson for your day today…
“The more we follow our intuition, the more we’ll find that the right doors open to assist us in fulfilling our life’s purpose.”
This is a great message for today! This week’s community message really emphasized that we are in transition and the best way to navigate it is to keep turning our hopes and dreams over to the Divine and trusting that we will be motivated when some action on our part is needed.
Sending you all much love!
Ever feel like your inner world has gone all topsy turvy and you aren’t sure why? Well, if you have, then you will relate to this post!
Check out the photo below. My husband brought it to my attention. It’s a photo taken of a local arboretum where a tornado hit. Notice the plaque… “Nancy’s Tranquil Haven.” As I was just recovering from a mini meltdown, he found this very funny…I on the other hand just felt vindicated! No wonder I’ve been feeling out of whack!
As most of the work I do involves metaphors, I took a closer look at the gift of this photo. As a metaphor, a tornado represents a destructive stirring that picks things up and throws them back down in random order. It is a great leveler…taking down the old and leaving new ground to rebuild on. As I thought about my own situation, I pondered what had caused my own inner tornado. Could I have done something to prevent it (can you really stop a tornado??)? What can I do to be sure it doesn’t come back again? What gift did it leave in its wake?
As with real tornadoes, changing weather conditions bring on storms. Too much heat (in my case activity) conflicting with rapidly cooling air (need to just be), impacts and high, rotating winds develop. These winds send the world “spinning” causing everything to be off kilter for the time that it moves through. During these storms, there isn’t much that one can do except seek shelter and hide out until it passes.
When the storm is over, it is time to take a look at the damage. A tranquil haven thrown into uproar is unsettling to say the least. Yet, I’ve learned that even tornadoes bring gifts (though I know we’d all rather they came in much different packages). In the case of this arboretum, scientists are learning a lot about the health of trees and how this health affects their ability to survive storms. Hopefully, it will lead to better care of our natural resources, so that the next tornado leaves more trees standing. This is a good lesson for me as well.
As a person with a highly sensitive nervous system, I’ve learned that there are certain things I need to do to maintain my health and well-being. Exercise, sleep, eating right, balancing my work and family time, being in nature every day, and having time to meditate are all crucial to my well-being. If any of these gets out of balance, it doesn’t take long for the whole apple cart to collapse. This latest tornado helped me to see some places where my own inner “tree” needs strengthening. Below are some areas that I’m focusing on, so that the next tornado doesn’t throw me so hard. I hope you find them helpful as well.
Tips to Rebuild Your Inner Tranquil Haven
Nutrition: I started seeing a Naturopath Physician recently. I’d come to realize that it was time for me to learn some new tools to keep my system in balance. If you are looking for a more holistic approach to wellness, consider contacting a Naturopath Physician locally or call our Sanctuary and Crossroads Wellness Coach, Buddy Ann Ross (www.holisticwellnessbuddy.com), for a wellness program designed specifically for you.
Breathing: Once our systems experience stress, the body releases hormones preparing for fight or flight. Usually, we aren’t in a situation that requires intense physical activity which means the hormones just hang around. Breathing is one of two ways to clear these hormones from our systems (exercise is the other). Try using a breathing pattern to bring your system back into balance. I like to breathe in for four counts, hold for four counts, and exhale for six counts through the mouth (my naturopath physician recommends imagining you are breathing out through a straw). Do these for a few minutes and you will notice an immediate improvement.
Control Fear: Fear is one of those things that if you let it in just a little bit, you are soon overrun with it. Restoring tranquility means that we need to stop rebooting the flight or flight system and that means the “problem” mentality needs to shift. A good tool to help overcome fear is to turn around and look it in the eye. What exactly are you afraid of? Why are you afraid of it? What is the worst thing that could happen? Is it realistic that it will? If you have more than one fear, then write them all out. After you have exhausted all your fears (this can get lengthy if you’ve left the “fear door” open for too long), then come up with two or three actions you can take right now to improve the situation. Sometimes the action is simply getting some exercise or doing something fun to get your mind off the situation.
Acceptance: I’m a big one for trying to understand why unpleasant things occur (mostly because I don’t want them to happen again), but sometimes I’ve found that acceptance is what is really needed. The one thing we can count on in this lifetime is that things always change. If you are in the middle of a frightening or unsettled time, be kind to yourself, and remember that “This too shall pass!” It will…it always does…

I’ve found that there is nothing that makes me feel as powerless as a health issue. This spring, I seem to have developed some type of allergy and suddenly my favorite time of year is no longer so wonderful. Being outside and watching things bloom, feeling the warming sun, and enjoying the fresh air are things I enjoy more than any other. Yet this year, all I want to do is climb into bed with a good book and stay there until this goes away.
I know many people are suffering from allergies this year as the pollen and mold count are significantly higher than they have been in years. So how can we empower ourselves during times like this?
Well, I figured it was a good idea to get some Divine input on this and also to share some products that I’ve found very helpful. I hope they help you too! Hang in there…this too shall pass…
Raise your vibration. I’ve found that when I’m doing an empowerment reading, my allergy discomfort decreases. To raise your vibration, take a few moments to breathe deeply (at least as deeply as you can) and imagine yourself somewhere peaceful. The idea is to convince your body that you are in an environment that feels peaceful, healing, and delightful. Let yourself float in the ocean, climb a mountain, shop in a unique boutique, or stretch out on a warm rock in the middle of a river. As you sink into this experience, soak up the energetic healing that it brings.
Practice relaxation techniques. For those of you who are on my mailing list, you know I’m a HUGE fan of yoga mudras. I’ve used them to improve my health and mental well-being on many occasions. I love the books by Sabrina Mesko. Set the intention that you are asking for Divine healing and then flip to a mudra. Try another one if your time allows. These three minute yoga postures for the hands are amazingly healing and a great way to energetically combat that which ails you.
Ask for Divine support. Have you asked your Angels to make you feel better? Seems like a simple step, but I have to admit I don’t always remember it right away myself. So right now, try it. What can it hurt? Ask your Angels and spiritual helpers to bring Divine healing and freedom from discomfort. Ask them to guide you to the foods, medicines, or experiences that will free you from that which is causing you pain. Give it a try!
Accept what can’t be changed. I hate this one! I never find it easy to accept that sometimes you just don’t feel well (emotionally or physically). I’m always trying to figure out what is going on, why, and what I can do to fix it. One of the messages I received about my own physical struggles was to accept that it is a temporary experience brought on by changes occurring in my own system and in the world at large, which must occur at this time. Sometimes, life here on Earth brings suffering. I wish it wasn’t so, but I’m learning that when I can accept that suffering will give way to joy again soon, I suffer a lot less!
Listen to your body. I’m also getting a strong message to pay attention when you go to eat or drink. My inner child wants sweets and bread type products when I don’t feel well, but my body knows these things aren’t helping the situation right now. Lots of liquids, fruits and vegetables are better than white flour, sugar, and dairy products. Listen to what your system says instead of letting the part of you that wants to be comforted be completely in charge. That said it is also okay to give yourself a treat or two. After all, it is no fun not feeling well!
Forgive. If you are like me you may find yourself feeling very angry at yourself. After all, if all that Law of Attraction stuff is right, didn’t we just bring this misery on ourselves? I have been told intuitively again and again that it isn’t that simple. Each experience that we have here is the experience we need in that moment. That doesn’t mean that each experience is one we “want” to be having…it just means that it is what it is. Right now, today, my head hurts and my glands are swollen and I don’t like it. Right now, I accept that for some reason that I don’t understand, that is just how it has to be.
For those of you looking for some new products to try that might make you feel better, here is a few that I’m finding helpful:
Olbas Lozenges (Black Currant): Seriously considering investing in this company. These drops are very strong, but they clear my sinuses like nothing else. They also have Vitamin C and Eucalyptus to help you heal. They are good for coughs, sore throats, and sinus issues.
Olbas Inhaler: The package says “POWER to Breathe™” and they aren’t kidding! It does provide instant relief for colds, allergies, low humidity and hay fever. It is non habit forming and doesn’t cause drowsiness. Again, I love this product.
Ginger Tea: I found a recipe for this in a book called Kitchen Pharmacy. Essentially, you boil water and add a pinch of ginger powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Then add ½ T of lemon juice and honey (to taste). Breathing in the steam helps as much as drinking it!
Breathe Again Roll On: This product is from Young Living Essential Oil. I’ve used other products from them and found them to be very effective. I just ordered this for myself because I have another one of their roll on products that I really love. Hopefully, this will be as good as that is!
Emergen C Immune Support and Airborne: Both of these products are great at helping you boost your immune system which helps minimize the effects of allergies.
Energy/Body Work: Intuitive healing through energy or body work can really help any ailment. I had a wonderful Jin Shin Jyutsu session with Donna Tkachyk and Susan Barack yesterday that really helped my sinuses! I also had a great Reiki/Massage with Debbie Kacic the other day which brought relief. Check out the practitioners at Sanctuary at the Crossroads (my empowerment center) if you’d like to try this approach (or give me a call!). They are all excellent!
Cave Therapy: Try visiting a cave! The air quality and moisture in the air is wonderful for the sinuses! Here’s a picture from my trip to Luray Caverns (Luray, VA) over Easter. The bottom is a reflection of the ceiling.
I hope these tips help you breathe easier!
Blessings to you and yours!

The last few days have been one of those times when I felt that if I heard one more bit of bad news, I’d start smashing dishes. Being a compassionate person who always wants to help is somewhat torturous when it seems like so many people are suffering. I sat down and did a reading for myself which really helped. Essentially, the reading was a reminder about exactly what I’m supposed to be doing here…and it isn’t carrying the world on my very small shoulders. God’s are much bigger…
What also helped was my message from Mike Dooley’s Notes from the Universe this morning…
(If you aren’t signed up for Mike Dooley’s Notes from the Universe, you might want to check them out. They are really empowering and free! The link to his website is: http://www.tut.com)
“When something difficult or painful happens always look to see what it makes possible that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible.
Like a new adventure, a closer friendship, or chocolate in your peanut butter.
Everything makes you better,
Made me stop and think about some of the things that are worrying me just in my own personal arena…
Good friend whose marriage is falling apart
Good friend whose mother is dying of cancer
Friend’s husband who lost his job
Levy failure and layoffs at my teaching job
So if I ask myself the question posed, what are these situations making possible that would not be possible without them?
Good friend whose marriage is falling apart
-Time for her to nurture herself instead of just caring for everyone else
-A stronger feeling of God and her own spiritual nature
-A deeper friendship between us
-Pushing me to remember that I am not here to carry other’s pain or shield them from it
-Letting God work through me instead of trying to solve it or make it better through my own resources
-Honoring my need to put boundaries up when things become to draining or overwhelming for me
Good friend whose mother is dying of cancer
-A chance to heal old wounds
-Deeper reliance on Spirit
-Opportunity to really love and nurture herself…almost an excuse to take time to give herself what she needs and to take the time to do it
-To see how to survive and grow through something so painful as the loss of a parent
-To learn how to listen without trying to fix
-To lean more on God and let him work through me instead of trying to carry it on my own
Friend’s husband who lost his job
-Push to go do what he’s always wanted to do and start his own business
-A confirmation that good things do come out of bad
Levy failure and layoffs at my teaching job
For the School District:
-Open Communication about financial realities personally and in the school district
-A chance for the district to pull together and keep the school district strong even in challenging times
-Forcing a closer look at our intentions for the school system and our children as well as our own financial needs
-More compassion for those who are struggling both on staff and in the community
-How to keep myself free of negative thoughts and living in a space of fear
-How to put up strong boundaries and keep my focus on the present moment
Having some challenging times yourself?
Maybe try the activity above with your own situation and see if it helps. It has certainly helped me!
And remember…even if we can’t always see what the situation is making possible, it doesn’t mean that down the road it won’t become clearer.
Hang in there!
Enjoy the day!
I’ve been working with a very gifted artist, named Jim Holland from North Carolina. He makes these amazing hand turned wood bowls, vases and containers. They are really beautiful and each is so unique. I am keeping my favorite stones in one. I purchased one for a friend of mine for Christmas and filled it with tiny stone chips used to balance the chakras (the stone chips are from Corky Larson at Inner Harmony Wellness Center). I have two other vases holding incense and eucalyptus and I’ve just ordered another one for my desk.
As you can see, I really love his work! His website is http://www.HandTurnedBowls.biz if you are interested.
I was thinking about the vases and how each one is so different. A vase starts off as a block of wood…shapeless and without character, like the one below.
And through the belief that there is something more than the surface reveals and through the willingness to be guided by the Divine, the true beauty and character of the wood can be shown.
I received an email from a woman who had purchased several Divinely You Readings from me for her family. She wrote, “The Divinely You readings gave me such a great new perspective on my family and my one friend! It showed me that we really sometimes don’t realize all of the great qualities that our family and friends have.”
I think this is often true for all of us…and it is also true about how we view ourselves. Sometimes it is easy to focus on what is wrong with those around us. Today, I challenge you to look for what is right…both in your loved ones and in yourself. What do you love about yourself? What do you love about the other people in your life?
Feel free to share what you discover by commenting here and remember to also share it with your loved ones!
Blessings to you and yours!
