Collectively, there has been a rising up of those who have felt victimized and repressed, especially by the feminine (an aspect that is in all of us – both women and men). This has also been occurring on the individual level within our own psyches as well. It is as if the parts of ourselves that we have undervalued have absolutely had it with being dismissed or ignored! It has also sparked off fear, as our inner and outer interactions are being asked to evolve. This is kicking up a lot of anger which is spilling out in our relationships. I have worked with many women lately who have been struggling with relationship challenges, often between the women in their family. Sadly, it has frequently lead to a complete breakdown in communication, causing a fracturing in the family.
Hearing about these conflicts, I have been pondering the question about what true feminine power looks like. It occurs to me that these dynamics are another example of how feminine power has been masquerading as a man. Feminine power is about wisdom, nurturing, cohesiveness, harmony and empowering the whole. It is about trusting the natural unfoldment of life, working with its rhythms, not trying to dictate them. The more masculine approach is individually focused and goal oriented. It is about action and doing, not being. This is not the true nature of the feminine or yin. Yet, isn’t that what is happening in these dynamics? Instead of the using of wisdom to bring people together so that all feel empowered and nurtured, it is as if we are suddenly so afraid of being left out in the cold that we are shoving our sisters out first.
When I asked for guidance about this, I was given a very powerful message. The message was that we all, men and women, need to start thinking of ourselves as part of one organism. While we don’t always realize it, we are connected energetically and telepathically to all those we know. They also said that anyone who shows up in your life, in your movie, is part of your whole, even the ones that you think you don’t want there or who don’t seem to want you! It is not to say that we have to stay involved with people who are abusive to us, but it does mean that those people are part of the whole and there to teach us something that is important to the functioning of the whole. For example, our body is one organism, but it has many individual parts. If the left leg decided the liver was disgusting because of its function to remove toxins from the body and tried to get rid of it, the body would die. We are made up of many parts and all parts are needed and none are truly more valuable than others. The organism thrives when each part is playing the role it was meant to play in the way it was meant to play it. When this becomes out of balance, the whole being suffers.
So what do we do with this information? I was guided to start asking myself in all situations, how will this impact the harmony of the whole that I am a part of and how will it impact my relationship to the larger whole which is Nature which we are dependent on? It is not a question of kicking people out of our movie, but instead asking ourselves, what is the best response from me that will feed the harmony of the whole in regards to this person? Is the conflict that is being created causing growth? Is it bringing to light places where we are too controlling of others, instead of trusting in the flow of life and the perfect timing of nature – what true feminine power is all about? Are we too focused on what others are doing while ignoring our own needs and interests? Are we overlooking the need for each individual to access their own wisdom, so that they can feel empowered? Are we welcoming and inviting to all or are we trying to exclude and control? What is going on for the other person from a spiritual perspective?
Going back to the metaphor of the body, imagine what would happen if the stomach was obsessed with how the lungs were breathing. Imagine it being so busy prodding the lungs to breathe when it thought it should, that it was unable to do its own job of digesting food! What a disaster that would be. Feminine wisdom (something we all possess – both men and women) knows that it is not necessary to control things. Nature knows what it is doing – just as our bodies do. If you look at most of the challenges we are having in our environment right now, they have come from getting out of balance with the needs of the whole and trying to control processes that we didn’t really understand. Could this also be said about the interactions with our loved ones? Perhaps each of us is doing exactly what we need to do with our lives, with the people we are meant to be doing to with, for our optimal spiritual growth and development. What if there is truly a bigger story here and we don’t need to try to control that story, but can instead trust that everything is unfolding in perfect, Divine order for the highest good of all?
Shifting from the thinking of trying to control the parts, we would instead focusing on feeding the harmony of the whole. We would work with the whole of our bodies, the whole of our families, the whole of our communities, the whole of our world. We would nurture, support, encourage, and allow each system to move into its perfect rhythm without trying to force it. We could relax, let go, and enjoy the absolutely perfection of each moment, even the moments that challenge us.
When I asked for guidance on how to work toward this more harmonious approach, the following steps were suggested:
When someone challenges you…
1. Say thank you in your heart. “Thank you for bringing to my awareness that which is no longer in resonance for me. Thank you for helping me to see something I believe that is not good for me that has created this challenge. Thank you, for at the soul level, I know you are my friend.”
2. Ask yourself how you can feed the harmony of the whole in this situation? If the person who is challenging you seems controlling, ask yourself, is there somewhere in my life where I need to trust more and let go of control? If the person is unkind, ask yourself is there somewhere in my life that I am being unkind or judgmental of myself or others? Let the person be a mirror that helps you more deeply understand yourself.
3. Send love and peace to the person who challenges you. We want the whole organism to thrive because it is the only way that each part will thrive. Pray for the person. Pray that they find the wisdom they need. Pray that they feel loved and safe. Pray that you can allow them to find their way, as you work to find your own. Just as you may feel unhappy when your head hurts, the best way to get the head to feel better is to send love its way. To do things that nurture yourself and to be kind to yourself. The same is true within our dynamics with others.
4. Be patient. Nature has its own timing. Things may not shift as quickly as you like, but things are changing. Let it unfold. Breathe, focus on what is going well in your life, and love. Trust. The Creator has it all under control, so you can relax and trust that in the end all is working for your good.
Thank you for being part of my whole!
Sending love and gratitude,
I am North Carolina until the end of the month, but will be heading back to the Ohio area for the first week of May. I will be sharing some opportunities to connect when I am back in another post, but I wanted to be sure and invite you to this fun event at Conversations & Co Boutique! I am one of the presenters, along with some of my dear and talented friends. The workshop includes lunch and 20% off at the beautiful boutique. See below for full details…
I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season! I am still in Florida and feeling very grateful to be in the beautiful weather, instead of the snow! Here are a few opportunities for upcoming reading events and a special offer in celebration of the end of 2016!
December New Moon Reading 2016 – The New Moon is in Capricorn this month. A great time to sort out new goals and get some insight for the upcoming new year! The reading will be pre-recorded (you will receive a link to download or listen online). Participants will receive a personalized reading (done anonymously) as well as experience a group message, energy balancing, and intention setting. The New Moon Recording will be completed and sent out on Friday. Sign up by Thursday 12/29. Love Exchange: $30 (Soul Friend Community Members – $25). You can sign up here: New Moon Reading
2017 Superpower Readings – I had this idea that it would be fun to discover what our superpower is for 2017, as it is a great time to put our attention on our strengths. This reading will explore what your superpower is (for example, generosity, humor, love, kindness, tenacity, etc) as well as share your Power Animal for 2017 and the gift/blessing for the new year. I will also be checking in with your Spiritual Support Team (Angels and Guides) for additional insights and guidance for the year ahead. These readings are done by phone and are approximately 60 minutes long. Special Offer: $80 (normally $100) and Soul Friends Community Members – $60. Email me to schedule your time (email@example.com). Special offer is good through the end of January.
Sending love and best wishes as we wrap up 2016!
The New Moon is a great time to set intentions for what you would like to create in the month ahead. This March New Moon is especially powerful as it is also the first day of spring and a solar eclipse!
New Moon Empowerment Circle readings are pre-recorded and offer a thematic call for all those participating. Each person receives a personal reading (no names are used so privacy is maintained) as well as benefiting from the messages shared for others as the recording is designed to be a cohesive reading for everyone participating. There is energy balancing, an opening and closing intuitive message for the group, along with the individual messages.
Here are what some of the prior participants have had to say about this type of reading experience…
“I love my reading! I get the sense that magic is all around and had quite a revelatory day yesterday.”
“I loved it! I’ve been really trying to just let go and go with the flow of things and not worry about what happens next. So many things resonated in the reading for me. Thank you!!”
As I’ve mentioned, I absolutely love spring! There is something so uplifting in the birds singing, green things pushing up through the earth, and the realization that warmer days are ahead. Despite the snow, I can feel a change in the air. Spring really is going to come to Ohio after all!
In honor of my “spring-fever,” I used the Feathered Omens cards by Ted Andrews for my membership community‘s weekly reading. The first card that fell out for the beginning of the week is “Migration” with a message of “Time to make a move.”
When I asked for guidance around this card, what came through was about how it is time for us to step out of the old stories and beliefs about what we are capable of and who we can be. We no longer have to dim our light and be less than we truly are. It is time to really shine!
And the most wonderful news is last week brought me three resources that are showing me how to make the shift to this new life track in ways that really work! One of the most powerful tools is a book by Greg Kuhn called Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail. Don’t let the title dissuade you – it is written in laymen’s terms and is actually a pretty quick read (I read it in about three hours). In the book, Kuhn shares three steps and six tools to help you start rewiring your brain with new beliefs that are in alignment with what you really want in your life. After all, according to Quantum Physics, our feelings and beliefs are what determines what our physical experience looks like.
The other book I read that I found really fascinating and helpful is The Atlantis Legacy by Jennifer Hoffman. This book was really helpful in understanding the last ascension cycle and how many of us carry guilt, shame or fear around the roles we played during that time. I found myself reading along finding it interesting, and then she would describe something and I’d burst into tears! Clearly, there are some buried connections that needed to be brought to light. I worked through the exercises she offers as part of the learning this last week and it was really amazing how different I felt after!
The other tool that was so helpful was the Tapping Solution World Summit. I’ve been sort of avoiding the whole tapping craze (probably a result of my Atlantis issues about following something everyone is excited about!), but a couple of the people I really admire were speakers this year for the Summit. I ended up listening to a call with Cheryl Richardson about saying no first. When she walked us through a tapping exercise, I could really feel the shifts that were happening in my system. I also found I felt so much more comfortable being able to do what felt best for me, even if it meant saying no. I ended up listening to several other presentations after that – including Donna Eden who I am a huge fan of. Again, I was so excited by what I could feel changing in me! I also started using the tapping technique in combination with what I had learned in the other two books and the results were astounding!
Just so you can see what I’m talking about, I’ll share some of what I was personally working on last week. One of the beliefs that came up for me had to do with being seen. I have this great desire to help others connect to the truth of who they are and why they are here – because doing so allows me to be who I am and do what I’m here to do – but I also had a subconscious belief that it isn’t safe to be too visible or to have too many people valuing what I have to offer. As I worked with this belief (and several others that came up in connection with it), things started to change in my outer world immediately. First, I put out an invitation to my community members to come on a women’s retreat to Hocking Hills. It filled within three days. Next, I got an invitation to do readings at Conversations & Co Girl’s Night Out event. I had a whole night of working with really amazing people who were a total pleasure to connect with. I also got asked to do ongoing weekly readings with one of my favorite clients which led to an idea of how to start sharing this process I’ve been using in a new coaching program. I had someone who I adore join my coaching community, and also had sessions with two new people who I really loved working with. There were several other experiences and events that showed something huge had changed, but I’m not going to keep listing them all here. I just wanted to share this though because I am convinced following through with these techniques can be really life-changing in a beautiful way. I am all about empowerment and for me, this protocol is a great way to experience just how powerful we can be.
Last night, I had my monthly community empowerment call and I shared about what I’ve been learning. I also walked them through the steps I followed using money as an example, including a tapping exercise around money. Normally, these calls are part of the membership gifts, but I felt that it was important to share this one with everyone who is interested this month. You can listen here if you feel called to do so: March Community Empowerment Call
We still have three more weeks of this powerful astrological period we are in. I hope you take advantage of the opportunity to really free yourself from limiting beliefs of who you are, so you can step into spring ready to plant a life you love!
Sending much love to you all!
Along with the family changes with my son moving out-of-state, my parents buying a condo in Florida and my husband and I adopting a new puppy, there has also been a push to move in new directions with my work.
In September, I led my very first spiritual retreat to Sedona, AZ with twelve other sensitive souls. This was quite a feat for someone who used to find a half hour in Wal-Mart to be entirely too much stimulation. In November, I started working more actively with Subtle Energy Beings, Nature Angels, and Crystals which led to my work with attuning crystals as a means to connect with the Spiritual helpers around us.
And now, in two days, I will be sitting at my very own booth doing readings at the Great Conjunction Expo in Hudson, Ohio where my name alone will be on the booth sign.
My introvert self is climbing under the bed right now.
I’ll let her hang out there for a little bit, but then I’ll coax her back out.
Why you ask (knowing of course that I am the one doing the asking – note the emphasis on WHY!)?
Because I know deep in my heart that every time I push myself to move into new circumstances and connect with new people, I am always glad I did. Looking back, I see that is how so many wonderful people are now in my life. If I’d stayed under the bed, I never would have met them. Nor, frankly, would I be doing this work that I love so much (because stepping out as someone with intuitive abilities was another thing that sent me under the bed for a good long while!).
I’m sharing this because I feel we are all getting the nudge to move into new waters in some form or another. I have several clients who find themselves looking for a new job or having a long-term relationship end. Many of my colleagues are exploring new avenues in their work too. Some friends and loved ones are even relocating to new cities, states or even countries.
All of this tells me that I am probably not alone in feeling like climbing under the bed sometimes. After all, change can be a challenge for even the most hardy of us. For those of us who are sensitive, even the slightest ripples have an effect.
So how do we navigate the shifting going on in our lives? For me, it has become a matter of doing my very best to surrender – to trust that my Spirit and Divine helpers will keep me on the path of my highest good, even if my intellect has no idea what that path is.
I am also finding being kind to myself helps. As much as I would like to just stroll through life shifts without batting an eye, that just doesn’t seem to be how I’m wired. Accepting that, and being kind to myself through the process, seems to make things a little easier.
Reaching out helps too. Thank you to Polly and Debbie who so kindly offered to help out this weekend at my booth. Just knowing they will be there to support me has made a huge difference! Thank you also to those in my community who have promised to come see me, those who have helped me figure out all the details for having a booth, and those who have sent me encouraging messages! I am very grateful for you all. I am also grateful to my Spiritual Support Team (my Angels and Spirit Guides) who keep assuring me they have this all under control. I am so glad that someone does. They also promise that I will be meeting many new and wonderful friends while I’m there. I hope you are one of them!
So, in closing, I’m glad you are joining me on this journey of branching out. So nice to know there will be other “branches” to bump into out there!
Sending much love to you all!
PS. If you’d like to come visit me this weekend and check out the other offerings at the Expo (it looks like there are going to be some amazing offerings!), you can find the full details and $1 off admission here: Great Conjunction Expo
Here are a few photos of my lovely crystal/rock friends who will be coming with me (and going home with some lucky others)!
The New Moon is all about making wishes and setting intentions for the month ahead. For this pre-recorded empowerment reading, participants will receive a reading that offers a guided meditation and personalized intuitive message for each participant connected to the New Moon focus for them in the month ahead. Recordings are 30-60 minutes long depending on the number of participants and the intention is set that all messages hold gifts for everyone involved. These readings tend to have a theme that provides a comprehensive picture through the whole reading for everyone listening. Love Exchange: $22. You can register here using the Empowerment Circle link: November New Moon Empowerment Circle Reading
I’ll send out the recording by Saturday’s New Moon! 🙂
I also pulled a Grace Card (Cheryl Richardson) for the New Moon and here is the message from the card that fell out:
“Have faith. Every event we experience and every person we meet has been put in our path for a reason.”
I am back home from Sedona! We had a really transformational time yet again. For many of us, the retreat was all about “coming home” – not just to this place that feels like home or even to the group of people who have become like family, but having the experience of coming home to ourselves. The image was taken on the Cow Pies Trail in Sedona at the beginning of our vortex tour with Jaap Van Etten (http://www.lemurantis.com). For each of the groups who went on the tour, the experience was unique and called them to different vortexes and experiences. All though, helped us to remember who we really are.
I will be offering two opportunities to work with this experience this week: 10/5 at 7PM EST Crossroads Coaching Community Empowerment Call where we will be doing a guided meditation to connect to this magical place and 10/8 at 6:30-8PM EST for a full moon Earth Wisdom Circle gathering in Sharon Center Ohio where we will connect with nature, a seventh chakra vortex, and our Spiritual Support Team through intuitive insight! You can learn more and register here if you are interested (Sunday 10/5 is the deadline for both): October Events
To work with this image, I would recommend imagining yourself walking down the path before you. See where your imagination leads and what insights your intuition offers about your true self!
Below are some simple directions to support your journey. Enjoy!
How to Work with the Image to Support the Process
- Take a moment to center yourself. Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly three times. Let your exhale be longer than your inhale.
- Open your eyes and focus on the image. Ask your Spiritual Support Team to help you come into harmonic resonance with the image and to receive the amount of energy from the essence of the place for your highest and best good.
- Use your imagination to put yourself in the photo. Use all your senses to interact with what is shown. What do you feel, see, hear, smell, taste and touch as you connect?
- Ask for Divine guidance on how you can incorporate the gifts from this essence into your own life and situation. Allow yourself to feel the love and support flowing to you and through you from the Earth and the Divine.
- Repeat the affirmation (see caption) as you breathe in and out slowly.
- Be open to any additional thoughts, sounds, smells, or images that come to you as you are working with the photo. Consider these as messages to support you on your path. Ask what these impressions mean to you. What do they make you think or feel?
- Continue to recall the image throughout the day when you wish to bring in the energy it provides.
- Express your gratitude for the gifts given to you through the experience.
Much love to all!
I just got back from a two-week trip to Northern Ireland with my family. My parents took the whole clan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary (congrats Mom and Dad!). This was the view from the place we stayed on the Irish Sea in Carnlough. Ireland was very lovely, but this was one of my favorite spots because it was so peaceful. You can use the guidance below to connect to its energy through meditation.
