One of the resources we will be using for the class (and that we highly recommend) is the Animal Totem Tarot by Leeza Robertson. I asked for a message for you today (or whatever day you come upon it) and the card that came out is Strength – Oxen.
Below is the message from the Oxen…
“It is not always easy to keep going, to take yet another chance, or to start all over again, but sometimes the path that we choose requires us to do the very things that seem the hardest to pull off. There are no guarantees along the path of life and the only way to find out what we will encounter is to walk these paths. Standing still is not an option in the physical world, like it or not, we all have to make our way along the karmic path. Each step is a victory, each tear a reminder, and each mile gets us closer to where we are headed. Dig deep, little one, for you have more walking to do on this path you call life.”
Some additional thoughts on this metaphor…
Oxen is one of the cards in my Animal Totem Pole reading for this next nine-year cycle. It falls at my third chakra and Leeza Robertson suggests that this card gives valuable clues to how to soothe our inner child. I find that oxen and its relatives – cows and bison – have a very soothing energetic feel. There is a solidness to them and a feeling of calm and methodical movement. I tend to be more on the air side and can easily get ungrounded. This card calls for being slow, steady and taking things one step at a time. When things are changing (and when are they not changing?), remembering to keep up the routines and supportive practices that keep you feeling steady and secure. Try taking an epsom salt bath before going to sleep or creating a simple stretching exercise that you follow every day. If life is challenging you, look to what you can do that is right in front of you. Even washing the dishes can bring peace when we are feeling pulled off our center.
Sending love and peace your way!
One of the challenges to living in a state of joy is keeping the mind at peace. Our minds have been trained to look for things to worry about. We are used to working on “problems” or trying to avoid things that can cause us pain. While there is a time and place for that to occur, often we are worrying rather than solving problems. Yet, trying to redirect the mind when it thinks it has found something to be concerned about can be really tough! Recently, I started a new technique that I’ve been finding really effective, so I thought I would pass it on to all of you. I’m calling it the “habit of gratitude.”
Basically, what I started doing was when I noticed myself getting uptight or worried, I started looking around for things to be thankful for. I would start mentally saying thank you for everything that caught my attention. For example, this morning when I was walking, I started mentally saying the following, “Thank you for the beautiful blue sky. Thank you for these warm clothes. Thank you for my comfortable shoes. Thank you for the warm sun on my back. Thank you for the beautiful green bushes. Thank you for the refreshing breeze. Thank you for my strong muscles that let me walk easily. Thank you for my health. Thank you for the palm trees. Thank you for my loved ones. Thank you for this opportunity to be walking. Thank you for my Angels.” After just a few minutes of this, I was feeling lighter and happier. My whole energy system had shifted and I was smiling!
I have heard it said that it takes 21 days to create a new habit. I have just started this practice, so it hasn’t become a habit for me yet, but I hope that I can stick to it and make it one. Want to join me? This month, let’s get into the habit of looking for all the wonderful things to be grateful for. When you aren’t sure what to think about or if you start feeling worried, shift your focus and start saying thank you.
Happy New Year! I hope you are all having a great start to 2016! I’m in the middle of some big life changes and I know many of you are as well. Ending one thing and starting another can be emotionally challenging, but it also brings lots of gifts! My plans for a new business venture, Spirit Earth LLC, are underway! I’ll be sharing more on that by the end of the month and will have some exciting new offerings to share with you! We are truly moving into the new movie and this month gives us a chance to connect to who we want to be and how we want to experience this new adventure. Exciting times!
This month’s New Moon Recorded Reading is a great chance to connect with your intentions for the new coming in! Registration ends Friday (January 8th). The recording will be sent out on Saturday. New Moon readings are recorded and offer personalized messages as well as guidance for the group as the whole on how to make the most of the month ahead. Readings are done anonymously (you’ll be told which reading you are). This offers the benefits of a longer reading at the cost of a 15 minute session. You can learn more and register here: New Moon Readings
Here is an excerpt from the Power Path blog on the New Moon for this month:
“January 9: New Moon is Saturday, January 9 at 6:30PM Mountain Time (MST). An excellent time to focus on RESET. If you have not already done so, this is also a good time to focus on your intentions for the year or revisit the ones you anchored over the New Year for refinements and changes. You may be surprised at how quickly some of them may manifest if you are really clear about what you want and it comes from essence and your heart.
Due to the influences right at this time, you may feel some energy around intention at a standstill. It is simply at a still point gathering power from love, beauty, essence connection, community, prayer, joy, gratitude and awe. You can always help it along by feeding it this positive fuel.”
I asked for a January New Moon Grace card message from the deck by Cheryl Richardson for all of you. Two cards fell out:
“Perception: See the past through the lens of grace. All that occurs is designed to support our spiritual evolution.”
Rest: Take a mental break. A quiet mind has direct access to wisdom and insight.”
So what does this mean? I feel this month we are being asked to let go of our mental story line and shift into listening and following our spirit. What does your heart and body tell you? Listening to those sources and letting yourself flow into what you feel open to is the way to go this month. Let the mental self take a rest and trust that when it is needed, you can call it back into action!
Sending love and hugs to all!
Have you ever experienced a time when your heart says one thing but your head says something else? Do you listen to your head or your heart?
While we have all seen the benefits of following our hearts, sometimes it is a hard thing to do. We look at what is happening around us and our mind urges us to take action and do something so we stay safe and don’t get hurt. This last week, I had one of those times when I ignored what my heart was saying and reacted to what was happening on the surface. I started to create a story in my head to explain the outer circumstances – a story that made me feel worse not better – and soon had myself completely stressed out! When the dust finally settled and I found out what had really been going on, I discovered that all my worry had been over nothing at all!
I’m guessing most of you have had something like that happen to you too. The mind would rather make something up to believe in rather than sit in “I don’t know.” To save us all future drama, I vote we start letting a different part lead us. Instead of letting our intellect determine what is going on, let’s start listening to our spiritual center – our heart.
So what does that mean exactly? For me, it means that I need to start pausing before reacting emotionally to what is happening in my world. I need to check in with my higher self – with my heart – and ask to be shown what is happening from a spiritual point of view. From this vantage point, I can then choose how to respond and know that the response will be coming from a much more peaceful and balanced space.
Below are a few suggestions on how you can connect to your heart’s wisdom and see from this spiritual point of view:
Be curious: I’ve found that if I look at what is going on from a curious point of view instead of a frightened viewpoint, I am able to detach more from what is happening. Imagine you are a scientist collecting information about the subject at hand. What details are you noticing? What subtleties are being overlooked?
Take three deep breaths and ask for Guidance. Pausing before we react gives time for us to process all of what we are experiencing. As we take three deep breaths and ask for Spiritual Input, we create a distance between ourselves and what is happening. This space can give us the detachment we need to see through the eyes of our heart into the true picture.
Pay attention to your body. I have noticed when I start to believe something that isn’t true, my body becomes tense. If the energy isn’t flowing in your system, it is a clear message from the deeper part of yourself that something which is occurring isn’t coming from love and truth. Even if you don’t know exactly what is false, trust that you don’t have a clear picture if your body is reacting adversely.
Laugh and/or smile. When we laugh and smile, it sends a message to our system that we are safe and well. Even if we aren’t feeling that way in the moment, moving our focus to the state of joy brings us in touch with our heart. After a few moments of laughing, then ask your Angels to help you see the truth of what is going on from that higher viewpoint. From this lighter space, you may find the circumstances look much different.
Trust and have faith. Having faith in the Divine and our Spiritual Support Team is really easy when things are going well. It is when things seem to be heading in a direction we don’t like that it is more difficult to keep the faith. Try asking yourself if you are choosing from love or fear. Also, remind yourself of your overall intention. Do you have an intention in place to be Divinely guided in all you think, say, and do? Are you choosing to create a life you love? If so, then know that what is going on must be part of what you are experiencing. Trust. Believe that you are loved and supported. Watch for the signs that miracles are unfolding for you.

As we continue going through the transformation we are all in the midst of, it can sometimes feel like we aren’t making any progress at all. We find ourselves struggling to stay positive and slipping back into old habits that don’t enrich us or feed our souls. Our plans seem to go sideways and we begin to wonder if we are off our path. This makes it tough to keep having faith.
I went through a bout of this recently with my Hocking Hills retreat weekend. I was excited to share one of my favorite places with a group of 10 lovely women and had high hopes for a weekend filled with fun. The Universe, though, had other plans.
The trip started out with the women I was driving with showing up as fire trucks came swooping in to try to put out a house fire next door. The neighbor had left a pot on and gone somewhere and smoke had been billowing out from under her garage door. We drove off to the sound of sirens wailing. Perhaps I should have taken that as a sign!
The next challenge happened at Ash Cave where we were meeting the rest of our group for the first hike of the weekend. We got out of the car, only to discover that the keys had been locked inside! With no cell service in the area, this led to a group heading off to find somewhere they could get a call through, delaying our plans by a couple of hours. In the midst of that, one of the participants discovered that her husband had been in a car accident. Thankfully, he was okay, but she was understandably concerned and frustrated that communication was so challenging without cell reception.
That night, I decided to sleep outside on the back porch. Normally, I can’t get enough of being outside, so this would have been fun. On this occasion, I ended up hardly sleeping at all and spending a lot of time wondering if the raccoons that were running around over my head on the upstairs porch were going to come down and discover me. Needless to say, I was very tired when morning finally came.
The next challenge, which was really the tipping point for me, occurred with stairs. One of the women fell down the stairs (and was thankfully okay) about the time that I had my own stair catastrophe. I was on my way downstairs with my heavy bag full of spiritual tools and realized it was silly to carry them down there as I would just have to bring them back up later. I turned to ask one of the women who was on her way up to take it back up with her. She took the bag from me, lost her balance, and bumped a picture on the wall. With a call of warning to me to watch out, I turned and looked up, only to get hit right in the left eye. All I could think of was that I was going to be blind as it felt like the heavy picture had hit directly on my physical eye. Thankfully, after doing a series of Bodytalk Fast Aid several times, I discovered I could still see and only had a black eye. The shock and pain of this, though, opened the floodgates for me and all the repressed emotions from the last month of shifts and changes came welling up and pouring out.
Thankfully, two of the women who were with me were people I’ve known a long time and both are gifted intuitive healers in their own right. They were both wonderful! They helped me figure out what was happening from a spiritual point of view and provided a lot of much-needed comfort and love. After that, a group of us were guided to do an energy clearing with one of the participants which offered a beautiful healing for us all. That changed the course of the weekend – bringing great healing and transformation for everyone, though not in the format I had expected.
So what did I learn from all of this? Here are a few insights that hopefully will help you through your own challenges…
- We don’t have to do this alone. Many of us have spent most of our life feeling that it was our job to help and support others. We are much more comfortable being the givers instead of the receivers. This experience brought me the gift of seeing I don’t have to go through these changes alone. I had felt responsible for providing all the support on the weekend and had it brought home to me again that my job isn’t to have it all together. My job is to be real and to let God work through me. My own struggles offered a way for the others to step into empowerment with their own gifts. They gained confidence in what they have to offer and I received the blessing of their wisdom and kindness.
- Being honest, even when it makes you feel vulnerable, is healing and empowering. I’ve spent a lot of my life as someone who is highly sensitive trying to protect my vulnerability. This experience (and some others along the way) reminded me that being vulnerable and sharing from the heart is actual one of my greatest strengths. By being willing to be honest about what I was going through and in asking for help, I received what I needed and also allowed others to get what they needed by being able to share their own wisdom and love. Others felt safe to share their struggles and we found a lot of common themes in what we were experiencing which brought us all comfort and support.
- Staying in your North Node is vital. I have talked about Jan Spiller’s book, Astrology of the Soul with pretty much everyone I have worked with over the years. This book offers a blueprint for your spiritual path and the traits that you are developing in this lifetime. It provides valuable information to help you see your challenges and what you are trying to learn. My North Node is Aries and my job is to lead and act by following my own inspirations and needs. My astrological sun sign is Capricorn whose keynote is “to teach” so these two focuses require me to follow what I’m inspired to learn and to teach what I discover. With this experience, I was slipping into my old patterns and focusing on what I thought others needed to learn. The Universe quickly corrected me by bringing me back to my path of self-discovery and self-love and in doing this allowed everyone to learn what they needed to.
- We are Divinely Guided. I have had so many magical experiences in my life and so much evidence has been provided about how well and truly loved I am by the Spiritual Guides who walk with me. They are truly phenomenal! Even in the midst of the challenges I faced, I felt protected, loved and cared for. The weekend didn’t go as I had planned, but it did provide me exactly what I needed to move into my joy and step fully into my true self. My Team brought me support in the form of wonderful friends, synchronistic events, and a weekend that was designed to give me time with small groups of people instead of the larger group focus I had planned. It truly was a magical weekend in so many ways and continues to bring me blessings as I process all that occurred.
- Everything thing always works out for me in ways I enjoy. I’ve been saying this statement a lot lately and even though I didn’t “enjoy” some of what happened over the weekend, I do see that I enjoyed the results and how much better I felt after the experience. Even my eye injury healed quickly. I also realized that the more I stay centered in this belief – continuing to affirm that I am a magical being, living in a magical Universe, and everything always works out for me in ways I enjoy, the more that becomes my truth.
Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to the amazing women I had the gift of spending the weekend with. I am so grateful for all of you and for your willingness to choose to go through transformation at such a deep and profound level with each other. I love you all!
Sending much love and hugs to everyone else too!

I’ve found that connecting with nature even through photos can be a powerful way to come back into balance. Here is an image taken at the river on the property of the Serpent Mound in Ohio. I love the soothing and nurturing energy of this spot! Below are some tips to help you connect with the many earth energy centers and the river’s peaceful essence as well. Enjoy!
How to Work with the Image to Support the Process
- Take a moment to center yourself. Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly three times. Let your exhale be longer than your inhale.
- Open your eyes and focus on the image. Ask your Spiritual Support Team to help you come into harmonic resonance with the image and to receive the amount of energy from the essence of the place for your highest and best good.
- Use your imagination to put yourself in the photo. Use all your senses to interact with what is shown. What do you feel, see, hear, smell, taste and touch as you connect?
- Ask for Divine guidance on how you can incorporate the gifts from this essence into your own life and situation. Allow yourself to feel the love and support flowing to you and through you from the Earth and the Divine.
- Repeat the affirmation (see caption) as you breathe in and out slowly.
- Be open to any additional thoughts, sounds, smells, or images that come to you as you are working with the photo. Consider these as messages to support you on your path. Ask what these impressions mean to you. What do they make you think or feel?
- Continue to recall the image throughout the day when you wish to bring in the energy it provides.
- Express your gratitude for the gifts given to you through the experience.
Wishing you a beautiful day!
Anyone else feel like they are being transformed on all levels? If so, you aren’t alone! Our planet is in the process of undergoing an evolutionary process and as we are part of this planet, we are evolving too. What this means is that we are changing our energetic, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical make up so that we can function and work with higher frequency energies. These energies give us the opportunity to grow into our highest potential and to live in love rather than be motivated by survival fears.
This journey from the familiar survival-based world we have known into the higher dimensional world we are creating isn’t always easy. Many of us are either clinging to the familiar or finding that we no longer fit anywhere in our world. While the transition we are going through is necessary, there are things we can do to make the process easier.
This month, my intern (see below to learn more about Ryan) and I are offering some new types of sessions to support you through the process. Sessions are offered on the conference call line (and can be recorded) and are typically about 45 minutes long. Details are below:
NEW SESSIONS FOR SUMMER 2015
Moving from Karmic Relationships to Energy Partnerships: Most of the relationships we have had through our lives have existed as a result of karmic story lines. The people in our world have provided opportunities to work through our fears, wounds, and insecurities. Now, we have the option to end the karmic cycle, stop acting out of old relationship patterns, and to move into new relationships (with the same people and/or new people) who are drawn to us because they match our energy, not because of wounding. This session will help you clear the karmic story lines, clean up any energetic cords or residual effects from your energy system, and allow these relationships to evolve to a new place of wholeness.
Setting up Your Upgraded Energy System– For this session, we will take a look at your energy system and determine what needs to be rewoven or created in your energy set up for the most optimal functioning in the new energy frequencies. This will help you stay grounded and anchored with Mother Earth, keep you connected to the Divine and your Spiritual Support Team, and help you stay comfortable even if those around you are on a different energetic channel right now.
Personal Energy Grids: Using crystals and other energetic tools, a personal energy grid will be created and activated for you. A crystal will be programmed for you to work with, so when you activate the crystal you will have access to all the benefits the full grid offers. This tool offers a way to amplify your intentions to reach your goals, to connect more easily to your Spirit Guides and Angels with clearer and fuller communications, to connect with your higher self and the wisdom available from this source, and to stay anchored in your optimal energetic frequency and set up. You will receive a photo of the original grid, a fully activated and programmed crystal, and a 30 minute session to help you learn how to use your grid most effectively.

I am so grateful to have Ryan O’Toole interning with me! He is an amazing intuitive healer who works closely with natural forces of Mother Earth to shift long-held energetic patterns into new structures that work with the higher dimensional energies now available to us. Along with his sharing of his own natural gifts, Ryan has also gained experience through his recent training with Dr. Jaap Van Etten on working with Dragons, Subtle Beings and finding energy vortex centers and through his wilderness survival training with Tom Brown,Jr. (Best-Selling Author and Owner of The Tracker School).

Have you found your relationships shifting lately? As a species, we are all evolving and going through big transformations. Since we are all doing this at some level or other, our connections with others are changing as well. This can feel very uncomfortable, sad, or scary. The good news is that while our outer relationships are shifting, we are also being given an opportunity to deepen our relationship with ourselves.
A question came up in a class I am taking that really impacted me. The question was “What are you proud of about yourself or your accomplishments?” Try really being open to your feelings on that question. Are you proud of yourself? What are you really proud of about yourself? What do you have to celebrate about who you are and what you have done? Notice if you feel any discomfort around the idea of being proud of yourself.
In our society, we are often trained not to be proud. It usually isn’t considered a compliment if someone is described as being proud. And yet, shouldn’t we be proud of who we are? Isn’t that an indication that we are choosing to be someone we love and admire? To me, this isn’t about arrogance. It is about giving ourselves the approval that we may not have gotten in our outer world. It is about being truthful with ourselves, forgiving ourselves for our mistakes, and really seeing the bigger picture about who we are and why we are here. It is about being your own best friend. I find when I feel safe with me, I feel safe with the rest of the world. Perhaps this is a good time to let ourselves love all of who we are – and to encourage and acknowledge our accomplishments along the way.
This week, the Intuitive Life Coaching Class focuses on the topic of Loving Relationships. The purpose of these classes is to teach a process using Quantum Physics and Emotional Freedom Technique (along with some intuitive insight) to help us free ourselves from limiting beliefs that no longer serve us. As we clear these beliefs, we can escape feelings of unworthiness which often lead to insecurity and misunderstandings with those we love. Details are below if you’d like to participate:
When: Thursday 5/21 at 7PM EST on the conference call line (Call will be recorded if you aren’t able to participate live).
What to Expect: We will work through the process of identifying a limiting belief around relationships (with yourself or another) and do tapping and some other techniques to clear the belief and replace it with a more empowered one. Mini readings will be offered for each of the participants anonymously (you will be told the number you are before the call) and an intention will be set that all messages will hold gifts for all participating. There is a worksheet to use for the call (and you can use it again for work independently on this topic or another focus).
How to Register and Love Exchange Rate: $30/person ($25 for Crossroads Coaching Community Members). I have TWO spots left. If you are interested in participating, you can learn more and sign up here: Classes
Whether you participate in the class or not, I hope that you take a few minutes to listen closely to yourself this week. Feel out how you respond to the idea of giving yourself the approval and love that you deserve. As we become safe with ourselves, we are better able to be open and loving with others. And isn’t that the goal after all?
Sending much love to all!
